Well, big kid life can’t keep me down for long! This weekend I was able to escape the big city and venture south for the iconic, California Rodeo Salinas.
Following Mother-Lode when I sent Mouse down south, she was quickly scooped up by Rachel. With her pony out of commission it was my turn to repay the favor and let her use my girl. So I headed down to Salinas to see some of my favorite people.
It was awesome to see everyone, be back at a rodeo, and just feel like I was at home. I learned a few vital lessons:
Mouse is still fast as ever.
Schooling your horse then watching someone race down the track with them is as gratifying as doing it yourself.
Don’t wear tank tops to rodeos you will majorly sunburn.
Rodeo family is for life.
